Serves 4

Ingredients

1/2 lb (225g) self-raising flour
1 tsp mixed spice
1 tbsp marmalade
1/2 cup of warm tea
1/2 lb (225g) mixed dried fruit


4 oz (120g) soft brown sugar
1 egg

Method

1. Soak the fruit and sugar in the warm tea overnight

2. Add mixture to flour and other ingredients, mixing well

3. Put into greased bread tin and bake at 1800 C (3500 F) for 1 hour.
