Add Content You can add content to the site by creating an account - see the link just below the User Login box on the left. Once you have an account (which is made live as soon as you confirm your registration via an email link sent to you) then you can add pages to all sections ready for editor approval. Anyone can create an account on about-food.com enabling them to submit pages to the articles, recipes, places and news sections.
Adding pages As a registered user you are automatically given Author permission. You can use the WYSIWYG content management interface to add your page and can set the section and category in which you would like the page to appear. Pages can only appear in one section and category, but please do not add multiple pages. You can also set the start date if you wish to delay a news announcement for example.

A Little Bit of History In 1999 Colin Newton and Nick Henley stood on a beach in Suffolk in the U.K. and talked about starting some sort of direct food catalogue business to help people find good local food. For each of them this was intended to provide alternative employment as well as an outlet for their love of artisan food.
It was also a response to the increasingly bland offerings of the UK food retailing scene and the increasing number of serious food scares, created it seemed by the long, complicated and at times dangerous food supply chain.
